We are very excited to announce our involvement in hospitality design show, Sleep & Eat 2020, as designers responsible for one of the four ‘Sleep Sets’.
The ‘Sleep Sets’ are a popular feature at Sleep & Eat. Four chosen design agencies have the opportunity to design a hotel guestroom, which is built to scale and displayed at the show. Each year the design agencies are given a different brief to fulfil and this year the brief is Guestroom 2035.
‘We were extremely flattered to be invited to design at this year’s show’, the 15th anniversary, says our Founder & CEO, Chris. ‘We welcome the opportunity to show our skills, talent and creativity on a well-respected platform like this’.
Changes for 2020
A notable change with the Sleep Set format this year is that the design agencies have been paired with a leading hotel brand to specifically design a guestroom under each of their specific brand requirements.
Nicola, our design director, explains ‘we have been collaborating with our hotel brand from the very beginning of the process. It’s been so important to understand the needs and desires of their target markets so that we can discover how these needs and desires will develop by 2035. And then translate these into our design of the room.’
Understandably due to the COVID-19 pandemic this year, Sleep & Eat 2020 has decided to transition from a live event to an all-virtual event format. Sleep & Eat 2020 will bring the industry back together on 17-19 November 2020, through an exciting digital experience.
