We took a more timeless approach to the wall and ceiling panelling with slubby silk textures, timber inlaid brass trims, and the shagreen effect to the map drawers. In addition, there’s ample desk space to allow the Expedition Team to interact with guests, talk them through the escorted tours ashore and provide educational enrichment events and lectures.
Our approach to dressing was to layer and incorporate navigation instruments and nautical-inspired objects with references within the artwork to worldwide exploration. This included a range of different media, from block prints to extracts of expedition sketchbooks and memoirs.
