MSC Seashore

Restaurants & Bars
Project overview

We designed various F&B venues for MSC Seashore, which was delivered in the summer of 2021. As always, it was paramount that we ensured the end-user guest experience was a top priority as well as maximising operational and technical efficiencies for the MSC Cruises team.

The Cocktail Bar

As the perfect “stop off” pre or post-dinner to one of the many enticing eateries onboard, The Cocktail Bar is equally a destination in its own right.

It offers coffee throughout the day, or the perfect aperitif or digestif to partner your evening. Cosy corners and casual high tables make this a great people-watching space.

The dramatic space features a bar front with a forest green multidimensional ceramic tile and metal bar stools. Notably, there is the biophilic design feature which covers some ceiling areas with plants and frames the vintage-style lights, resulting in a unique design.

Ocean Cay

Enjoy the freshest of seafood, expertly prepared and accompanied with a perfectly paired wine. Be enticed by sharing platters of oyster and shellfish, grilled seabass or delicate lobster. This speciality dining venue is a true haven for lovers of the finest ocean fare.

Creating a dynamic and bold statement through the use of natural materials and a sophisticated palette, Ocean Cay Restaurant is designed to take diners on an elegant dining experience.

Uptown Lounge

A multi-functional space that offers daytime use as entertainment, lecture or hosting venue. As the night draws in, guests enjoy live music and dancing, conveniently located amongst the collection of speciality dining options.

The bar includes a bold, geometric pattern to the bar back and decorative screens, rich textures and a dark colour palette of blues and purples with pops of berry.

Kaito Sushi Bar

Kaito Sushi bar welcomes guests with a floor to ceiling timber feature and a two-toned floor stone finish. The linear rhythm of the timber slats nods back to the traditional Asian fishing boats and timber posts where fishing nets are tied.

The seating area features refined edges with a ceiling mirror insert that reflects the diners and the magnetic-conveyor system. Warm upholstery and stone countertops elevate the space. Diners have a front seat view of the chefs at work preparing the delicious plates.

Kaito Teppanyaki

Be entertained as a Teppanyaki Chef prepares your dishes in front of you. A wide selection of wine, authentic beers and sake complement your dining experience.

We were inspired by charred effect dragonwood with hand-painted murals, and a combination of natural materials throughout on joinery and the floor, a timber effect slattered ceiling and low ambient lighting.

A natural and authentic feel was key to create an intimate warm atmosphere. Unifying this Kaito venue to the Kaito Sushi restaurant, we have incorporated warm orange upholstery to the seats.

The Wine Cellar

An impressive array of wines await the curious and connoisseur alike. Experienced Sommeliers provide guests with the perfect pairing for an upcoming meal and hold seminars to educate and entertain. The entrance includes screens cut to wine bottle shape.

The Wine Cellar embraces the distinct differences of an elegant material palette against smooth concrete. There is a warm timber effect laminate with elegant brass trim detail to the temperature-controlled, floor-to-ceiling, wine display. And timber effect ceiling slats, floor and joinery.
